Asha,(I hope I spell it right), did my haircut, she is more than a wonderful, professional, very experienced and skilled with an artis touch! She did a treatment, a massage, a haircut and styling for only$70 She worked on my wavy difficult hair very patiently, she was like sculpturing this hair until "I" got the result I wanted, and she gave me the haircut I always wanted, but couldn't achieve w somebody else, because they said my hair is impossible to get certain hair cuts, well here Asha could do it!!!
Can't ever go back. I have curly thick hair. I said not to encourage curls, I don't want it short because I'm trying to grow it out. I wanted long layers and a style that would suit my hair texture, the layers were un-even and in my experience I dont believe that its layered. Its short in the wrong places. Now i will have more work styling my hair. Also don't want it blow dried. All the above happened, I felt totally ignored on my wishes. I'm very upset about it, I couldn't say it at the time but very disappointed in my experience there. I trusted them,... not going back ever sadly enough!! It will take more then a year to grow my hair out again. Should of stuck with Evoke.....because I have never been upset about a hair cut like this and I'm not a picky person. Had to share and never complained before on a review. Can't stop thinking that I shouldn't have gone there:((((....very distraught!
I came to this salon with high hopes, I asked to be put in with a senior stylist. I use to come to this place when it was David Hills many years ago and see one of the girls for a cut, this salon was so nice and clean. This new owner seems to have made this place extremely tacky with lime green walls. The salon set up is very strange now, everyone seems to be literally on top of each other. The cut was done by a one of the guys , he was nice but the cut was awful. The front desk was abit short and rude.
This is the only salon I get my hair done at and for good reason!! I get my hair done by Paulina who understands what I want and is very knowledgeable in her craft. she'll give you a excellent colour and hair cut Always explaining what she's doing and what's best for my hair, that's why I trust her and keep going back!!the environment is comfortable and friendly.. overall a great salon with up to date stylist who strive to make any women or man look their best.
I had had a terrible experience with my last haircut, the stylist left my hair thinned out beyond belief and much shorter than we discussed. So needless to say I was very nervous about it getting ruined again, and it had been over a year since my last haircut. But as soon I got to Mazz I felt exceedingly comfortable and in very good hands. Everyone was very pleasant and calm, no one pressuring me to buy expensive products I didn't need, or get a ridiculous "trendy" haircut. My stylist was Pauline, and she was an angel! She understood how nervous I was and went very slowly, explaining everything she was doing and showing me exactly what it would look like. With her so calm and professional, all my worries melted away and we ended up taking four inches off! I'm SO so happy with the result, much healthier and prettier. I will DEFINITELY be returning to Mazz! (And within much sooner than a year again!)
It was my first time at Mazz and Esha did an amazing job. Even though I was super indecisive (I went in saying "I don't know what I want, I just know I'm bored with my hair"), she was very patient and worked with me to figure out a style that would suit me. I'm so happy with my cut! Thanks so much!
FINALLY!!! I found my new hair stylist, after jumping from hair dresser to salon,I came across "Mazz Salon" (Yonge & Eglinton) and i was pleased by the approachable stylist who worked there, Ive had my hair and color done by "Paulina" and what an amazing job. She knows exactly what i want and does such a great job!!! i always leave feeling beautiful.....She has such great technique and is always on trend...I must say i am very pleased each time!!!
I keep going back to Mazz Salon. Marco understands what I want (which keeps changing) and I get a great cut that I'm happy with. I can tell that they are really making an effort to be a great salon and they make me feel that they appreciate my business. I wish them continued success!
I have been going to Albert for my hair even before he started working at Mazz. So when he moved I moved with him and I'm very happy I did! Albert is truly talented and takes his time. His passion for hair is a great fit at Mazz. Each time I've gone to Mazz I've had a wonderful experience. I am so lucky to find a stylist such as Albert and would definitely recommend him!
First and foremost - is the way I look when I leave the salon, and the way my colour and cut is something that can work with me everyday... not with a stylist doing my hair. This team is professional and knows their stuff. Stop in, talk to them - give them a try. I predict you will love the results - and will never go anywhere else!
I was passing through the area coming from the gym and in between appointments and popped into this busy salon hoping to get a blow-out as a walk-in new client. Hesitant to try a new salon I was luckily enough to be booked with Kate who made me feel at home and listened exactly to the type of smooth,frizz-free voluminous blowydry I was looking for. Not only was I happy but I couldn't fend off the compliments from the meeting I had afterward! I will for sure be back to see her for more services as soon as I can. Totally refreshing.
I went to Mazz Salon after purchasing a deal that I found online. My colour was done by Johanna and she did an AMAZING job!! I was a little nervous when I first went, as nerve racking as any woman knows going to a new salon can be. I am very picky about my hair and have had my heart broken many times by stylists and colourists who do not know what they are doing. However, this salon definitely surprised me and did a wonderful job!! Johanna made my colour look AMAZING (a deep burgundy red), she herself being completely and genuinely awesome. I would DEFINITELY recommend Johanna (and MAZZ) to anyone and everyone!!
I have very long, very curly hair and have really struggled to find somewhere/someone I really like to do my hair. Most places do the bare minimum and rush me, or argue with me as to what I'm looking for (keeping length is really important to me). For these reasons I usually wait far too long between cuts. It was about that time and I didn't want to go back to any of the places I'd been before. I really only needed a trim so I figured I'd chance trying somewhere new. I walk past Mazz almost every day and thought I'd give it a shot (it was actually between Mazz and another salon in the area but Mazz actually got back to me first. I still haven't heard from the other place) and I'm so glad I did! Everyone was incredibly friendly and warm right away. Jen, who was my stylist, is so sweet and really listened to what I wanted. I have A LOT of hair so of course the appointment went over time, but she didn't rush me and immediately made a note in my file to book extra time if (when) I return. She took her time to finish my hair and make any final touch ups. When i was done i asked about the products she used. She showed them to me and recommended a couple others, but didn't push me to buy anything at all. My hair looks great and I'm so happy with it. The cost of the cut was also pretty reasonable. I've paid way more and been disappointed. If you have curly hair and are tired or paying way too much or not REALLY happy with other Curly salons, definitely go see Jen. You won't be disappointed.
I just had my first experience at Mazz. The salon has friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I got a full head of highlights from Johanna. I was a bit hesitant because I hadn't lightened my hair in years. She is the best colourist I have been to and I have never loved my hair so much. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Johanna if you're looking for an amazing colourist!
I have had my hair coloured by Johanna for years and I love it every time! Recently I ombre'd my hair and it looks amazing. Initially I was scared because I know they're difficult to do and I've seen some horrible ombre's where the colours didn't fade into each other nicely and there were noticeable lines where the colours would start and stop. But Johanna did an awesome job. I constantly get compliments on how great my ombre looks. I would definitely recommend Johanna to anyone who wants to have their hair coloured!
I saw Kate in October for a color and a hair cut, she was fabulous! Recently went back for Blonde Highlights and she nailed it! I'm always terrified when trying a new salon as my hair is difficult to lighten, it always turns brazzy but Kate did an amazing job and I plan to return to see her for future coloring. The whole atmosphere at Mazz Salon is great, very relaxing and Marco and staff are all super friendly and inviting. Will absolutely return :)
I have lived in Toronto all my life and have never found a hair salon that completely satisfied me until I went to Mazz Salon. The service is fantastic. They really listen to what you are looking for. If you need a colorist, Kate is absolutely brilliant. She is a joy to be around and is very knowledgable about what will look best for you. Love love love Mazz!
Currently sitting in Anna's chair and getting my hair done. Anna took her time patiently straightening super curly Afro. It's nice to have a hair dresser that can style all types of hair. Last week I was at mazz for a cut with Albert and he did an amazing job with my cut. Before cutting my hair he spent a few minutes to get a feel for how my hair is. Once I told him I wanted a short cut he gave a few suggestions that work best with my hair texture. I wanted a short cut that would look both amazing straight a d curly and he nailed it. Will def go back in the future. Maryan
I came across this salon by asking a woman in a Starbucks line where she got her colour done and who did it. She told me Mazz Salon with Hanna and I booked my appointment an hour later. I have always had a problem with getting the right blond. My hair always goes brassy. I saw Hanna and she did EXACTLY what I asked her to do. That girl knows what she is doing!!! I was so happy with my service that I went back a few days later and saw Asha for a hair cut. She somehow managed to make my thin limp hair feel so full and thick. She did my layers just right without doing too much....too many layers in my hair is usually bad news. I highly recommend Mazz Salon to everyone. They listened to all my concerns. I will be back!!!
