I have debated writing this review but for my peace of mind I will. I have had 4 perms at Figaros with Elena. The first one was excellent the second and 3rd were awful. Elena did not remember who I was from one perm to the next so she did guess work. The 4th perm was the WORST. I knew as soon as the formula was used it was going to be a disaster - and it was. Elena was so busy showing off to the new hire MALE associate, she was literally giddy as a teenager for his benefit and was definitely not paying any attention to what she was doing.. When I was at the sink for the rinse she asked me if I was comfortable and I said 'no', she said 'too bad', and proceeded to rinse my hair which went down my back and soaked my blouse, AND I mean dripping wet! There was no apology, no suggestion of drying my blouse, she just didn't care. I had to drive home sitting forward so I would not get the car seat wet. I waited the required 48 hours to wash my hair and then I saw the true disaster it was. A head full of frizz. To cut a long hurtful story short, she would not, did not take responsibility for anything and actually suggested that my hair was the problem. I have had 3 perms there and although 2 were awful (too loose, and too tight) they had nothing to do with my hair being at fault. I am guessing she was trying to usuage her guilt by blaming my hair!!!! Of course, I will never return and I know Elena has her favourite clientelle who she respects - too bad she did not offer me that same respect. Jacqueline Wilson
To the girl who's never had a good salon experience. Who every time you said an inch they took ten. Every time you said blonde they gave you copper. I would never ever go to another hair salon other then this one again. Unless Gianni was working somewhere else. I am so in love with my hair. And of course I come in so skeptical giving him such a hard time. Not only was Gianni so patient with me, he listened over and over again to exactly what I wanted and transformed exactly what I was saying in so few words onto my head and I couldn't be happier with the results. I even let him trim it.. And after so many disasters in the past.. That was straight trust. I would trust him with my hair over and over again. Thank you for changing my perspectives Gianni. No doubt I will be back for anything I need in the future. If you can see the video don't mind the fake tears. I was super happy.. I'd honestly push mute if I were you.
Based on good reviews I went there paid 90.00 for a haircut so badly done ...and bad customer service not welcoming not even an offer of drink or something ..Tamara was a nice lady who cut my hair but I'm not satisfied with her work ..and the Elena lady thinks she knows a lot ! Small salon not pleased at all ..and they charged me extra for using a credit card ..and so stupid of me I even gave them tips !!! I'm pissed at me for that ...ripping of people
My experience with Figaro was amazing! All my life my hair were really long but i decided to cut them REALLY short! And i am glad i did! With the talent and the experience of the hairstylists now i have the best haircut ever! I just showed them a picture of the style that i wanted and they adapted it according to my face! The result is AMAZING, i really love it!!! Its really hard to find a place that specializes in short hair but i found it and i recommend it 100%! The people there are welcoming and happy but most of all professionals! So if you have any concerns don't think it twice! Figaro is the right place for you! The ladies at this salon made me feel so welcome. Lena and carla are so wonderful and friendly. They gave me a consultation on my hair and the results were amazing. I spent over five hrs there last week. I had my hair coloured , cut and the chi treatment done. Carla worked on my hair all afternoon. She was very patient and paid attention to detail on every strand on my head. I haven't been to a salon in years due to bad experiences but this salon made me so happy. I will definitely return and can't wait until next time. Thank you for putting a smile on my face. My hair is so soft and manageable. The chi treatment is amazing and I love my colour. Rosanna
As soon as I walked in I was greeted and welcomed!!. The ladies gave me a consultation. I had colour done and cut and the chi treatment. My hair was very curly and frizzy and my stylest did an amazing job. I forgot her name . She is the Brazilian lady I think. she coloured, cut and did the chi treatment on me. She spent over 5 hrs on me and was fabulous! !!! She paid attention to detail and did a fantastic job. The ladies know what they're doing. I left feeling very pleased with my hair. I basically left myself in her hands to do what she thought would suit me and she definitely did. Thanks!!
By far the best hair salon I have ever been to! My mom was going there for some time and I was not super happy regarding my stylist at that time, so after long consideration I decided to give it a try. It was many years ago and I am still there and ALWAYS happy with the outcomes, whether it is a new haircut, a color job or a hairdo for a special occasion. And my wedding hair style was just perfect and EXACTLY what I wanted. Lena never disappoints and always delivers. It is truly a pleasure to be Figaro costumer! Very warm and friendly atmosphere does not hurt either! 5 stars hands down!
From our experience of many years going to Figaro, we are getting always only excellent service and the best haircuts in Toronto. Stylists are always aware of new tendencies and are not scared to offer them to their clients. They use the best product on the market by Goldwell and Shwarzkopf which is also a plus, as you know your hair is treated at its best. Highly recommend!
