I have been looking for a good salon for years, since I moved here from L.A. I saw a make-over on CityLine a week ago, and I had to go because the make-over was fabulous. After my consultation I knew I was in a great salon because the consultation was professional and all about what I wanted, and not what they wanted. When the service was complete I felt like I was ready for the runway, I love this salon and I recommend you visit this team of professional. LOVE MY HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff at this hair salon are all amazing. I've been there numerous times and used a few different hair sylists, when Sharon was not available. My daughter liked the pink streak she received and is the talk of her class (grade 3). I would highly recommend this salon and spa to any and all of my friends.

This place is horrible, my hairstylist ignored me and even though i brought in a few pictures of what I wanted, she refused to even look at the pictures. She cut my hair how she wanted, not how I asked : ( Their "manicurist" did not even have cuticle oil (she said hand cream would do the same job!!!!) and she had no idea how to round out the nail properly. I had a lot of issues with their highlights as she did not even show me the normal colour sample book (she decided what colour would work on my hair without asking me!). Also she refused to style the hair, saying that a rough blowdry was all she had time for (even though I paid for a blowdry/style through my teambuy voucher). I would never go back to a salon that does not listen to its clients.

I have been to multiple award winning salons in search of the right hairstylist... with no luck.

I finally found Karina, what a great hairstylist. Her best quality as a stylist is that she LISTENS! A trim means a trim, a bob means a bob... and so on. I've been to countless salons to get a trim and came out with 4-5 inches gone. She does an amazing job with my layers and is great to talk to. Like everyone else has mentioned the service is exceptional too, when I call to book they're always very friendly and accommodating. Today I spoke with Angie and she was great. All the guys are great too, offering coffee, water.. and even to play games (to my fiancé who was finished before me-of course). Thanks again Karina for doing such a great job with my hair. I wish you the best and congrats again for becoming a master stylist!

I have been to alot of salons, but platinum is the WROST! they are all unprofessional, they dont know the meaning between trim or cut. they dont know how to style, they all act like ghetto people.SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT GO! WROST

Small complaint: the music. However, I know I am in a small minority, preferring quiet music or none at all.

They messed up my hair! I went back to complain and they wouldn't do anything to fix the issue!

I have been going to The Root of Hair since they first opened their doors! There are many reasons why I go back year after year (Even after moving 200kms and soon 1800kms away from Vaughan). Not only does my hair look absolutely amazing when I leave, but the personal touches of the salon staff is really what keeps me coming back. No matter how long it's been Amato always remembers small details of what we talked about last time I was in. Tiff and Andrew are always so welcoming each time I walk in the door. Each one stops by Amato's chair while I am getting my hair done for a quick chat.
I know I will be a customer at The Root of Hair for years and years to come! Keep up the great work guys :)

On my last visit for a cut and highlights I was very surprised when I went to register and found out what I had to pay... Yikes !! ...they are way over priced. I have been a customer for 10 years and it's time for a change.

They always do a stellar job. Amazing staff and worth the extra expense completely. I have really difficult hair that used to have to be cut and managed every month (since no one knew how to cut hair that thick), but I go here every 3 because they do such a great job. Highly recommend.

Lisa Finelli cut and coloured my hair and I am very pleased with the results.

I just googled reviews for Joseppi and Mimmo and noticed all the positive reviews were for my hairstylist!!! Michele truly is amazing, offering advice and great quality work. I recommend her to everyone!! Great Job Girl.

great place to get your hair done, the staff are all friendly and helpful.

I didn't get a hair cut in a while, so I decided to go here since it was close to my house.

I asked them to do layered/thin out my hair.

The lady cut my hair & my bangs looked really cute.

UNTIL I got to my car & ran my hands through my hair & chunks of my hair were falling out. Its like they left the cut hair on my head!!!!

On top of this, there was an area on the back of my head that had a whole chunk missing-I went to another salon and they told me that the lady must have thinned my hair using the 'curly' hair technique.

DO NOT GO!
